A Mansfield town centre pub has reopened after a £216,000 refit and makeover.

The Green Dragon on Leeming Street, which has been serving people for 60 years, is part of the award-winning Craft Union Pub Company.

New screens, booths with their own televisions, a new pool table, and an illuminated double darts lane have been installed.

Daniel Bolton, who has taken over the Green Dragon after working at other pubs in the town, said: “We have been absolutely packed since we opened. Customers love the new look.

The Green Dragon is not just for the sports fanatics  and entertainment at the weekends will include an in-house DJ, local drag acts, karaoke, and live music.

Daniel added: “It’s been a great start and there is so much more to come. We have so much planned such as games and events, bingo, darts and pool teams, quizzes and fundraisers for local causes. The pub is really warm and welcoming and we can’t wait to meet even more people when they come to socialise here.”

The pub is family and dog friendly and is open throughout the day. Along with its popular draught beer range it offers an array of wines, gins, and other spirits. With the Craft Union Order & Pay app, customers can order drinks from their seat and they will be delivered to the table.
