Academy retains Good Ofsted rating

Posted onPosted on 13th Dec

Peafield Lane Academy in Mansfield Woodhouse has undergone an Ofsted inspection, which found that the school should keep its Good rating.

Inspectors said: “Pupils really enjoy coming to this school. They feel part of a big family… Peafield Lane Academy is a happy place to learn and grow.”

Described as an inclusive school where staff ensure no pupil misses out, inspectors reported that the school’s effective approach to teaching is a strength and that staff want everyone to succeed.

The report says that lessons run smoothly and that the attention of even the youngest children does not wander. Pupils are highly respectful to their teachers, each other, and to visitors.

Acting head teacher Tom Daniel said he was pleased with the outcome, adding: “We are delighted that Peafield Lane Academy continues to be a Good school.

“The report has highlighted so many positives about the school, and the hard work that both staff and pupils carry out each and every day.

“The children should be proud of the praise the report has for their attitude to learning and respect for each other — they deserve to be the pride of their community.

“The academy will build on these positives and strive to take further steps on our journey of improvement.

“With the great staff team we have, I am sure that the future is bright for Peafield Lane Academy.”
