Posted onPosted on 7th Oct

Christine Batho held a garden party at her Mansfield Woodhouse home and donated £715 to the Amazons Breast Cancer Support Group, a charity that helps patients at King’s Mill Hospital, Sutton.

There was afternoon teas, a plant stall, tombola, wine and water stall, raffle, cake stall, and a sale of concrete gnomes.

Some of those helping Christine included her sons Sean and Jon Batho, Elaine Walker, Gaynor and Ian Lawrence, Neil Owen, Carolyn Makings, Sandra Hutchinson, Carol and Royce Richards, Tony and June Harvey, Neil Betteridge, Nicola Fennell, and Finlay and Noah Gibson.

Prizes were donated by local businesses, including Morrisons, Mansfield Woodhouse; the Golden Eagle pub, Mansfield; Greg’s Fish Bar, Mansfield Woodhouse; Chatty’s hairdressers, Mansfield Woodhouse; Nick’s Chippy, Mansfield; and Boots.

Members of the Amazons charity said a huge thank you to Christine and some of the event’s helpers at a later presentation (above) and also thanked all supporters of the garden party.
