An evening curry-themed garden party at the Skegby home of Sharon and John Cooper raised £571 for the Amazons Breast Cancer Support Group.

Entertainment included an Indian-themed quiz, card bingo, and table-top skittles, run by the couple’s grandson, Jacob, which raised £20.

Helpers were Michelle, Stacey and Jacob and donations of money and prizes were made by Nat, Rob, Deb, Geoff, Jean, Anne, Lynn, Beryl, and Angie.

Beryl Perrin, of the charity that helps breast cancer patients at King’s Mill Hospital, Sutton, said: “It was another wonderful fundraiser by a great couple, supported by very generous family and friends.

“The Amazons charity can’t thank them all enough. What a difference they continue to make.”
