The principal of Academy Transformation Trust Further Education, based at Sutton, was presented with an OBE for services to education at Windsor Castle.

Liz Barrett received the award from Prince Charles. Born in Ashfield, she continues to live in the area and has worked tirelessly in North Nottinghamshire for the last two decades to ensure that learning opportunities reach those in the area who will benefit greatest.

Liz also volunteers and leads local community projects.
