Co Coun Andre Camilleri visited his former school, King Edward Primary, on Littleworth Lane, Mansfield, and presented a cheque to headteacher Sue Bridges towards the school’s Razzle Dazzle drama and singing group’s visit to the Theatre Royal, Nottingham.

Andre said: “Music, dance, and drama are so important to a child’s development because they teach discipline and teamwork.

“They also give children so much fun and pride in what they achieve. You can clearly see it here in the happy faces of the brilliant children who were performing for their parents today.”

He congratulated the headteacher and her staff for their excellent work in ensuring that all children at the school are given the opportunity to shine.
