Nurses offered £5,000 welcome bonus to join Sutton care homes

Posted onPosted on 29th Apr

Registered nurses are being offered a £5,000 welcome bonus to join two Exemplar Health Care care homes in Sutton.

Exemplar Health Care, a national care operator, is giving the bonus on nursing roles at its Eastlands and Meadowcroft care homes on Kingfisher Way, Sutton.

Newly-qualified nurses can also benefit from a £1500 welcome bonus with the provider.

Eastlands and Meadowcroft are currently looking to hire nurses to support younger adults living with complex needs.

The nurse role with the specialist care provider involves assessing people’s care needs, delivering person-centred nursing care for people living with complex needs and leading a small care team.

There are a range of roles available including newly qualified nurses, registered nurses (RMN, RGN and RNLD) and senior nurses (unit managers).

Eastlands and Meadowcroft each support up to 20 adults living with complex mental health needs, and Eastlands also supports those with physical disabilities.

The home’s high staffing levels and higher than average nurse ratio are what Exemplar Health Care believes make the roles stand out. Eastlands and Meadowcroft have, on average, six Health Care Assistants to every Nurse, based on each ten-bed unit. This gives Nurses the time to really make a difference and get to know the people in their care.

As well as the £5,000 welcome bonus, successful applicants get access to a range of rewards and benefits including retail and lifestyle discounts, an Employee Assistance Programme, car salary sacrifice scheme and access to wages before payday through fastPAYE.

Exemplar Health Care also offers excellent career development and progression for nurses, with five of its in-house training programmes being certificated by the CPD Certification Service.

Debbie Smith, home manager at Eastlands, said: “We are delighted to offer an enhanced welcome bonus for nurses at Eastlands and Meadowcroft.

“We already have fantastic, close-knit care teams at both homes and we are looking to bring people on board who share the same values and commitment to provide the very best care for our residents.”

Michelle Rope, home manager at Meadowcroft, added: “Upon joining the team, you will receive full training as part of your induction and will be supported by a buddy during your first few weeks. There are plenty of opportunities to build your career and progress in the company if you wish. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.”
