Two Nottinghamshire children’s groups have successfully received a cash boost from a leading housebuilder.
Orchard Extras Out of School Club, Kirkby, has received £1,000 from the Persimmon Homes Community Champions scheme.

The funds, awarded by Persimmon Homes Nottingham, is enabling the club to buy new outside play equipment.

Andrea Simpson, manager of Orchard Extras, said: “We have recently moved venues from Orchard Primary School to the Hill Methodist Church and need to improve our outdoor facilities. We are immensely grateful.”

Under the Persimmon Homes Community Champions scheme, the Nottingham regional business provides financial support of up to £1,000 to two local charities or good causes every month.

Ben Felton, managing director at Persimmon Homes Nottingham, added: “Our Community Champions scheme is all about supporting the people in our community.”
