Cambridge United 2-2 Mansfield Town

Mansfield Town let a late lead slip away in injury time, but still went into the hat for the draw for the third round of the FA Cup on Monday.

The Stags, playing another different formation, 4-4-2, with Richie Sutton at right wing back and Verdaine Oliver and Rakish Bingham up front, twice led.

Bingham headed in after three minutes, but the Us levelled 10 minutes later.

An own goal by Champion, deflecting in a Rob Taylor free kick 10 minutes from time, looked to have earned the Stags victory in the second round tie.

But two minutes into stoppage time Appiah made it 2-2 to spoil Stags’ manager Adam Murray’s first match in charge.
