In national final

A subsidiary business of West Nottinghamshire College is celebrating after being put through to the finals of a national award.

Provider of online GCSE and functional skills assessment tools – bksb – has been put forward for the Bett Awards’ ‘Best Whole Course Subject Curriculum Resource’ category.

Last year, over 1.2 million individual learners used bksb to improve their skills in English, maths and ICT.

The company, which is based in Mansfield but sells its assessment tools globally, will discover if they are winner of the award at a ceremony in London on 21 January 2015.

Considered as the most esteemed accolade in the industry, the Bett Awards endorse the finest resources and companies to educators in the UK and further afield

Managing director of bksb Harvinder Atwal said: “It’s a great honour to be listed as a finalist for this award. Competition is even greater this year with a twenty percent increase in award submissions.

“The whole team has worked incredibly hard over the last year to refine and expand our product across the world and we’re proud that we are still up there as one of the leading providers of online education solutions.”
