There was a service and re-enactment of the unveiling of Forest Town Cenotaph to mark its centenary.

The cenotaph was again draped with the Union Flag, and four cadets stood guard as four soldiers had done 100 years ago.

It was a colourful scene with band members and the Royal British Legion in attendance. The legion is also celebrating its centenary.

Members of the local community laid flowers in memory of loved ones.
