Mansfield Palace Theatre is raising its curtain again after almost 18 months of darkness.

Shows have returned at the venue, which has refurbished seats and improved accessibility.

For September and beyond there is something for every taste, from tribute bands to ballet and brass, as well as the launch of a new project: The Electric Palace Theatre.

Visitors can experience a night through the golden ages of rock at the History of Rock Music Extravaganza on Thursday, 2nd September, featuring the music of artists such as Led Zeppelin, Cream, Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, Queen and many more.

Here Come The Girls the following evening celebratse some of the finest female artists, including Cher, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Shania Twain, Annie Lennox, Gloria Estefan, Blondie, Katy Perry, Adele, Abba and Bananarama.

For football fans, the song of the summer was arguably Sweet Caroline, so go along and hear it live in a glittering tribute to Neil Diamond on Wednesday, 8th September.

From Gold to Rio celebrates the music of Spandau Ballet and Duran Duran on Saturday, 11th September and The Upbeat Beatles will take you on the Fab Four’s long and winding road on Sunday, 12th September.

The Rod Stewart Songbook on Thursday, 16th September features all the classics including Maggie May, Some Guys Have all the Luck, Baby Jane and many more.

On Saturday, 18th September Bond in Concert is a cinematic journey through the life of the world’s most famous spy, from Goldfinger to Skyfall and Thunderball to Octopussy. Bond in Concert also features a session band and internationally-accredited singers.

Foden’s are one of the world’s leading brass bands and they visit us for the first time on Sunday, 19th September. They will perform classics from stage and screen including Mack and Mabel, Les Misérables and Jesus Christ Superstar.

Discover how two boys from the backstreets of Salford created a band to rival the Beatles in The Hollies Story on Wednesday, 22nd September.

Oasis, Blur, Ocean Colour Scene, Pulp, Suede, Kula Shaker. The 90s, the clothes, the scene and the sounds are all revisited in Britpop Live on Friday, 24th September.​

The Rolling Stones Story relives all the classic hits on Sunday, 26th September.

The Dong with a Luminous Nose is a family show with several performances across Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th September.

Written, directed by and starring John Godber, Sunny Side Up is a hilarious and moving account of a struggling Yorkshire coast B&B and the people who run it, from Thursday, 30th September to Saturday, 2nd October.
