Stepping out for the Amazons

Posted onPosted on 25th Aug

Breast cancer patients at King’s Mill Hospital, Sutton, continue to be able to receive support from the Amazon Breast Cancer Support Group thanks to the charity’s fundraisers.

Recently Rachel Street, above, completed the Lady Bower Marathon and raised £711.

Katie Partlow organised an Ascot Ladies Day and boosted the charity by a further £500.

Paula, owner of Lily’s Cards in Sutton’s Idlewells centre, raised £40 through customers’ donations.

Last year, despite the pandemic, the charity provided £30,000 for state-of-the-art breast screening tomosynthesis technology, which is used in the hospital’s Breast Care Unit.

The Amazons thanked its supporters for their continued support.
