Sherwood Forest Hospitals has been named as the trust with the highest uptake in the region for staff receiving the flu vaccination.
Department of Health figures show 77% of staff have been vaccinated, an increase of 25% compared to last year.
Paul O’Connor, chief executive of the trust, thanked staff for taking part in the vaccination programme and making it successful.
He said: “We are delighted with the response of our staff to this year’s flu vaccination campaign.
“The driving factor is patient safety. Offering free flu vaccinations to staff is one action we take to decrease the risk of infection to our patients.
“Our vaccinators have worked tirelessly to offer vaccinations day and night, so I would like to say a big thank you to them. It has been a team effort.”
