Funeral directors A. W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service, which has offices in Mansfield, Mansfield Woodhouse, Sutton, Shirebrook and elsewhere in Nottinghamshire, has unveiled the latest addition to its funeral fleet of 39 Rolls-Royce and Bentley vehicles, taking the Phantom fleet to 11.
The hearse is built upon the current Rolls-Royce Phantom chassis and has undergone extensive, bespoke alterations by Italian company Biemme Special Cars to create the distinctive hearse, including many unique added features.
Director Matthew Lymn Rose said: “This project has taken a number of years to come to fruition and we are proud to have brought this one-of-a-kind hearse to Nottinghamshire.
“We were very conscious of the need to ensure that the appearance of the vehicle was complementary to our fleet of Rolls-Royce Phantom saloons.
“We firmly believe in my great great-grandfather’s vision of continually re-investing in the company for the benefit of our clients.”
A sophisticated sound system allows funeral services and music to be amplified in outdoor locations.
The company, which has been arranging funerals for families in the East Midlands since 1907 and hires out its fleet of Bentleys and Rolls-Royce for funerals across the UK, also provides a fleet of 10 matching Rolls-Royce Phantom saloons for funeral transport when required.
