College shines spotlight on positive community work

A college has handed out awards to people in the community who have been making a positive difference.

The extended leadership team at Academy Transformation Trust Further Education College, based at Sutton, presented individuals and organisations in the community with a certificate and Shine Award.

Among the winners were: Business Community Contribution — Scott Barlow, of Barlow’s Butchers, Annesley. –

Community Hero — chef David Marshall.

Community Impact — Portland College chief executive Mark Dale.

Care for the Community —Sharewear Clothing Sheme.

Inspirational Ashfield Community Work — Coun Matt Relf.

Care for the Sutton Community — Rotary Club of Sutton, Chris Dawes. (pictured top)

Inspirational Ollerton Community Work — Mayor of Ollerton, Donna Cumberlidge.

Sustaining the Community — Jac and Patrizia, Community Food Bank, Kirkby Woodhouse.

There were a total of 16 categories, with others including: Commitment to your Community, Family Care for the Ashfield Community, Inspirational Ashfield Community Work, Recognition from your Community, Care for the Ollerton Community, Ashfield Community Support, Community Support, and Team Community Impact.
