Kirkby garden to open in charity fundraising scheme

Posted onPosted on 11th May

A Kirkby garden is among 23 in Nottinghamshire opening to the public in June as part of the National Garden Scheme, which raises money for charity.

Many gardens will continue to be available to visit by pre-booked tickets only, so check individual garden entries at www.ngs.org.uk before visiting.

All will be serving tea and cake and many will be selling plants.

New Garden at Hollinside, 252 Diamond Avenue, Kirkby, will be open on Sunday, 13th June, from 1pm-4.30pm.

There is a formal front garden with terraced lawns and borders, leading to a shaded area with ferns, camellias, roses, hydrangeas and other flowering shrubs.

A rear garden has a wildlife pond, wildflower meadow, summerhouse and greenhouse.

The majority of the garden is suitable for wheelchairs. Disabled parking is available near the house by prior arrangement.
