Nottinghamshire Mind is hosting an online fundraising event, The Big Notts Raffle, with winners being drawn on Thursday, 13th May, at 8pm, to raise awareness for Mental Health Awareness Week and the charity’s community support services.
Recent statistics report that one in four4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem of some kind, highlighting the importance of raising vital funds and awareness for charities such as Nottinghamshire Mind.
Jo Sanders, partnerships and promotions lead at Nottinghamshire Mind, said: “Nottinghamshire Mind exists to promote good mental health, to educate, inform, reduce stigma and build the resilience of the local community. The funds raised by The Big Notts Raffle event will go towards enhancing Nottinghamshire Mind’s services, ensuring they have the resources available to support individuals in the local Nottinghamshire community with their own mental health recovery.
“The generosity and support we’ve received so far is truly heartwarming and it already feels like a real community effort. 100% of the money made from the raffle will help to enhance our services, so please support Nottinghamshire Mind where you can and buy a raffle ticket or two, and good luck!”.
Prizes donated by local businesses so far include:
- An overnight stay at The Lace Market Hotel
- A spa day at Clumber Park Hotel & Spa
- 2 x tickets to a Lincoln City football match
- A signed Nottingham Forest shirt
- A signed Mansfield Town Football Club football
- An electric scooter from REEL
- 4 x tickets for four-ball golf at The Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club
- An England cricket shirt signed by Stuart Broad
- Rustic Crust vouchers
- and so much more!
The event has been created in partnership with local creative agency, CCM Group, whose chosen charity of the year 2021 is Nottinghamshire Mind. This support is in addition to the pro-bono services the creative agency is offering to the charity, including creative design, video marketing and website development.
