Idlewells indoor market open for business

Non-essential retailers Idlewells indoor market in Sutton have reopened for business in-line with Government coronavirusrestrictions being lifted.

The cafes will be takeaway only until step three of the government’s roadmap is implemented.

The market will be open from, 9am-5pm, Monday to Thursday; and 8.30am-5pm, Friday and Saturday.

Theresa Hodgkinson, director of place and communities at Ashfield District Council, said: “We are excited to see the whole of Idlewells Indoor Market reopen. It is a thriving hub in the community and it will be fantastic to see old, and new customers choosing to shop local and supporting local traders.

“The traders who have been forced to close since the first lockdown really need the support of our residents. It’s been a tough year for everyone but you could make a real difference if you shop small this summer.”
