Instead of a traditional Christmas Carol service The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Berry Hill, Mansfield, hosted a drive-in movie experience showing a short film entitled ‘The Christ Child’.

Dozens of people from across Mansfield and Ashfield enjoyed watching this authentic Nativity production on a six-metre screen from the comfort of their own car, whilst tuning their radio to receive the sound.

The video related the story of the birth of Jesus Christ, as told in the Bible, by using authentic locations, atmospheric music and the language of the period.

Those who attended were able to witness the emotions experienced by Mary and Joseph, the shepherds and the three wise men and gain a little of the true spirit and meaning of the Christmas celebrations. The film is also available on YouTube.
