Members of Soroptimist International, Mansfield and District have presented a cheque for £2,407.55 to the Mary’s Meals charity.
Club president Sue Mosley gave the cheque to Lindsay Graham following her first year in office.
Funds were raised for her chosen charity at a quiz night with supper, fashion show, summer tea party and coffee mornings.
Lindsay told members how the charity started in 1992, aiming to help equip schools in the world’s poorest countries with kitchens, equipment and food to give pupils a daily meal.
It now feeds 960,000 children every day at a cost of £12.20 per child per year.

The presentation was made at the club’s meeting at St Joseph’s Social Club, High Pavement, Sutton. It is seeking new members.
