A caring Mansfield coffee shop is doing its bit to help keep people warm this winter.

Not Just Desserts, on Toothill Lane, has launched a ‘Spread The Warmth’ appeal as temperatures drop.

It is asking for clean, new and used winter coats to be donated for a coat rail it is placing outside the shop, where people can help themselves.

The store said: “Please take one if you need one, leave one if you don’t. Thank you.”

Coats can be donated on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, from 10am to 2pm.

Posting on Facebook, the shop said: “Thank you to everyone who has donated so far…. it has been a great success. We are still taking donations as it (the coat rail) is now empty again. The coats have been gratefully received and will definitely be out to good use.”
