Mansfield recruitment business Dalmatian BeSpotted is again organising a Christmas Shoebox appeal for Mansfield Soup Kitchen.
The Church Street-based charity is hoping to help some of the town’s homeless and less fortunate people during the festive season.
Dalmatian – run by sisters Lucy and Katie Trinder – said: “The idea is to fill a shoebox with some bits and pieces that will make a difference to someone this Christmas. These can be for a person or a pet and we are happy to collect, subject to Covid regulations (before 11th December).”
Suggested items for a shoebox include:
Lip balm
Non-medicated cough sweets
Mini/travel size alcohol-free mouthwash
Hand warmers
Foil blankets
Hand gel
Hand moisturiser/cream/lotion
Shaving foam
3 blade razors
Men’s spray deodorant
Gloves/hats
Medium boxer shorts
Chocolate bars / wrapped sweets or small packets
Cereal bars / flapjack bars / wafer bars (eg Penguins etc)
3 in 1 drink sachets
Mini cheddars or similar
Mini concentrate juice (like Robinsons to flavour water)
