RAF veteran Adrian Bingley has been awarded the British Empire Medal in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.

Adrian, 85, of Sutton, received the honour for services to the community in Sutton.

After retiring from working in social services for 30 years, helping people with learning disabilities and running day centres, he worked with Age UK, running lunch clubs among other things.

Adrian was also secretary of Jacksdale and District Royal British Legion.
