Ladies of the Inner Wheel Club of Kirkby have been meeting, either in smaller groups or via Zoom.

A cream tea was enjoyed at a member’s home and two separate coffee mornings were also held with up to six participants at each.

The biggest recent fundraising event was a car boot sale, where three cars were lined up together as almost £400 was raised for club president Susan Smaile’s charity — the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre Benevolent Fund.

The ladies were all new to car booting but enjoyed their time at Hucknall Carnival site.
