The Inner Wheel Club of Kirkby has donated £1,800 to a community food bank.

The outgoing president of the club, Jacqui Hampshire, presented a cheque for £1,800 to Patrizia Canova and her husband, Jacques Lemmen.

Patrizia and Jacques help to run the community food bank at St John’s Heritage Centre, Kirkby Woodhouse.

The money will be used to provide support for the homeless and those in need.

Patrizia thanked the club for the very generous donation and also for other gifts of food and clothing received throughout the year, especially at Christmas.

This will help the cause to continue its work that is carried out throughout the year.
