Millside is a lockdown tonic for hospital patients

Millside Radio has continued its service at King’s Mill Hospital throughout the coronavirus lockdown, reaching patients and families and staff both on the internet and on the internal radio system within the hospital.

People have been writing to the station with requests, which the radio says has been “very rewarding”.

Presenters have been able to broadcast from their homes — from places like Hucknall, Sutton, Warsop and Pinxton with a varied menu of shows.

Millside still has its 24-hour service and is are now able to put out limited live shows as follows:

Saturdays
8am — Breakfast with Andy Young.
10am — The Saturday Breakfast Club with Dave Berry.
2pm — The Saturday Request Show With Charlie Brown.
4pm — Pub Quiz Lockdown With Andy Barlow.

Sundays
4pm — 60s Show With Darrell And Rachael.

Mondays
8am — Breakfast With Dave Berry.
4pm — Teatime Showstoppers With Sue Smith.
6pm — The Request Show With Peter Piper.

Thursdays
10am — Barry Parsons Goldie Oldies Show.

There is a varied mix of recorded shows for the remainder of the week, from country to classical music.
