Jobseekers in Mansfield have the chance to find out about work experience and voluntary opportunities in the area at an event next week – and in particular, how they can lead to a full-time job.

The event, to be held at Mansfield Library on Wednesday 10 September (10am to 12 noon), is being held as part of the weekly work club sessions organised by Nottinghamshire County Council.

Issues being covered at the event include:

•The importance of work experience and voluntary work to enhance job applications
•How to present the knowledge and skills obtained to employers through CVs, application forms and interviews
•How and where to apply for volunteering and work experience opportunities

Nottinghamshire County Council runs nine work clubs across the county, all based in libraries, including Hucknall and Kirkby-in-Ashfield.
