Teversal Village pulls together during crisis

Posted onPosted on 20th May

The chairman of the Friends Of Teversal, Richard Goad, has given “a big shout out to the residents of Teversal Village working for the good of the community during this difficult time.”

A pop-up shop is running in the community centre for all essential goods, one hour a day, seven days per week. This is backed up by a regular meat delivery service.

Richard added: “The village verges and hedges are being regularly cut and the trees pruned of excess growth.

“Village seats have been painted and varnished.

“Rubbish dumped from cars, mainly tin cans, is being regularly collected and the village signs cleaned. Face masks are being made for anyone who wants them in the village.

“With so much effort continuing to go into keeping the village nice, backing up the ongoing buddy neighbouring for vulnerable households, we are really proud of the way that all have risen to the challenge.”
