Award-winning artisan bakery Welbeck Bakehouse handed over a treat for NHS staff at King’s Mill Hospital, Sutton – a special delivery of more than 400 croissants.

Pictured are the first few of 24 boxes of freshly-baked croissants and pain au chocolate delivered to the hospital to “make sure that our NHS staff have a little treat during the hard shifts ahead.”

The donation also included a raft of colourful posters drawn by local children to brighten up the hospital.

The bakers – based at Lower Motor Yard, Welbeck – now plan to bake treats for NHS staff at Bassetlaw District General Hospital, Worksop.
