Businesses across Mansfield and Ashfield have been urged to help an appeal from King’s Mill Hospital to make face visors for nurses, doctors and other NHS staff on the frontline in the fight against coronavirus.
Firms with 3D printing capabilities have been asked to adapt their technology to make the specialised PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the Sutton hospital.
There are examples of businesses and individuals across the UK pictured above) and further afield who have adapted their 3D printing to make the visors/shields, using acetate sheets.
Anyone who can help should contact Dr Irena Guzik, consultant anaesthetist, on 078913 23538 or email [email protected]
Dr Guzik said they would be very grateful for any amount of donations of the face shields/visors.
