Coronavirus: Service veteran offers Kirkby home for NHS frontline workers to self-isolate in

Posted onPosted on 6th Apr

A caring Service veteran has come up with a unique way to help key workers during the coronavirus crisis.

Michael Boyle has offered his empty Kirkby home to “members of staff in the NHS frontline who require to self isolate away from their families.”

Michael, who is overseas on lockdown, said had he been in the UK he would have volunteered to help “keep this great country going” as he has some medical skills.

He added: “My house in Kirkby is sat empty. It has just had some plastering work completed. It is a three-bed house with one double bed and one single bed. It has a fully-fitted kitchen and bathroom and a living room, but is still a work in progress.

“However, I understand that there are many members of staff in the NHS frontline who require to self isolate away from their families during this time as they don’t want to risk giving anything to their loved ones.”

Anyone interested in taking up Michael’s generous offer should email him at [email protected]
