The introduction of a glass recycling scheme by Mansfield District Council has been postponed for at least 12 weeks because of the coronavirus crisis.

It is redeploying staff to ensure vital waste collections can continue.

Current estimates are for bins to be delivered from July ready for the scheme to start in September

A spokesperson for the council said: “Please store your glass waste safely until we are able to deliver the bins or use community bottle banks, if appropriate.”
