Mansfield nurse joins Sport Relief fundraisers

Posted onPosted on 25th Mar

A Mansfield nurse helpd Barlborough NHS Treatment Centre raise £600 for Sport Relief as they donned lycra and clocked up the miles on a cross trainer.

Visitors, patients and the team helped to raise funds for the charity that funds projects helping people with health issues, both in the UK and in some of the world’s poorest communities.

As well as raising money for dressing up as sporting heroes and the sponsored cross-trainer marathon, a raffle of top sporting prizes also helped the team raise money.

Head of nursing Elaine Bodle (far right), from Mansfield, said: “People were very generous with their time, donations and gifts for the raffle. Sport Relief is an excellent charity.

“Since the last Sport Relief in 2018 they have invested £82m to support people living incredibly tough lives in the UK and around the world.

“Each time we hold an event for them we contribute to that and I am very proud of the efforts our hard-working colleagues put into each fundraiser. I would also like to thank all our patients and visitors for their support.”
