Learners at Portland College, Mansfield, have supported Mansfield Building Society’s tree planting celebration.

As part of the society’s 150-year anniversary, it has committed to a range of community celebrations.

Portland learners joined with a planting around the grounds of the college’s Woodland Adventure Zone.

In conjunction with Sherwood Forest Trust, volunteers will be planting a total of 600 trees in the area.

Over the last few weeks groups of staff from the society have been spending a day in the woods on college grounds planting trees.
