Mobile classroom launch on a day of fundraising

Posted onPosted on 31st Jul

The R.E.A.L. Education Mobile Classroom was officially launched at the Sainsbury’s store in Mansfield (above) by the Mayor of Mansfield, Andy Abrahams; Sainsbury’s store manager, Matt Bingham; Sean Ryan, chairman of the R.E.A.L. Foundation Trust (RFT); and RFT trustee Caraline Ryan.

R.E.A.L. fundraisers raised £268 for the foundation trust through face-painting, a LEGO speed challenge inside the new mobile classroom, and bag packing for customers.

The money will be used to provide a mixture of fun and educational activities that meet the needs of children and young people between the ages of 5 and 19, through befriending and holiday opportunities.

Sean said: “This was a great opportunity to demonstrate how local businesses can work together to provide facilities and fundraising opportunities for the benefit of local young people.”
