There was laughter and tears at the Year 6 final assembly at St Peter’s CofE Primary Academy when leavers shared memories of their time at the Mansfield school with pupils, parents, careers and relatives.

All leavers were presented with Bibles by the head teacher, James Marshall, and chair of governors, Christine Bacon.

Christine said it was always a day of mixed emotions when Year 6 said goodbye to teachers and friends, as they prepared to move on to secondary school.
