Andrew Newton, specialist personal injury solicitor at Shacklocks LLP, has been awarded the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) accreditation as a Senior Litigator.
APIL is an independent, not-for-profit organisation fighting for the rights of injured people. There are approximately 4,500 members nationwide, less than 20% of who are appointed senior litigators.
The APIL accreditation scheme has been running since 1999. To achieve senior litigator status, it was necessary for Andrew to satisfy APIL that he met the exacting requirements of the accreditation scheme.
Clare McShane, partner and head of the firm’s litigation department said: “Andrew’s appointment as an APIL Senior Litigator demonstrates his knowledge and expertise in personal injury law and handling personal injury cases. Specialising only in personal injury and clinical negligence, clients can be sure that when they instruct Andrew, they are instructing an expert.”
