Two Mansfield Town players — Danny Rose and CJ Hamilton — are to be guests of honour at Portland College’s Christmas Light-up event.
The duo will will switch on hundreds of lights across the college on Wednesday, 21st November, at 6.30pm.
On the night the central quad area will be full of entertainment for all the family and Mansfield Choral Society sing Christmas carols.
There will be the chance to meet Santa and his elves, as well as children’s entertainment, face painting, festive shopping, food and drink.
Christmas Wish Appeal
As part of the Christmas Light-Up event the college is offering people the opportunity to sponsor a light for just £10 with a Christmas wish.
A spokesman said support would help to secure the future of the college, and support current and future learners.
Donations can be made in memory of a loved one, or simply as a Christmas gift to the college. Either call 01623 499106 or email [email protected] to request a form.
The Christmas wishes will be displayed on a big tree in the reception atrium over the festive period.
Portland College Christmas Market
The popular Portland College Christmas Market will be held between 10am and 3pm on Sunday, 2nd December.
Visitors can buy hand-crafted Christmas gifts and Christmas decorations at craft stars.
There will be entertainment for all the family, including a Santa’s Grotto and a special Kid’s Zone, an activity trail with face painting, colouring competitions, and a lucky dip ball pit.
Admission is £3 per car.
