PLANS to create a state-of-the-art sporting hub in Mansfield for community and sporting group have been unveiled.
The Radford Foundation — run by Mansfield Town FC owner John Radford and his wife, chief executive Carolyn Radford — wants to build the facility at the One Call Stadium.
It would also be used by the Stags and become a major part of the town.
The facility would include a multiple-use sports hall, classrooms, conference rooms, changing facilities and a café/bar.
It would be financed through the charity staging fundraising events, including a celebrity football match featuring television soap stars and former star footballers.
Stags fans would also be given the chance to take part in the match.
Updates on plans for the match will be on Twitter via @stagonastick and by following the foundation, @TheRadFound
