Many families can struggle with anxiety, loneliness, social isolation and frustration when their child has autism or ADHD.
The charity Family Action’s Small Steps Service needs volunteer Befrienders in the Mansfield area who can offer support and understanding to families whose children have a diagnosis of Autism or ADHD.
If you understand the loneliness and worries that sometimes comes with Autism and ADHD and can be an understanding and helpful person for a family to talk to when things feel overwhelming, the charity would like to hear from you.
There are also holding two free information events for people to find out more on 13th November, from 9.30am-1pm, at Mansfield Central Library, Westgate, Mansfield, and on 13th December, from 10am-4pm, at West Notts College, Derby Road, Mansfield.
