Mansfield company Hall-Fast Industrial Supplies is closing in on its target of raising £40,000 within 24 months for the Fountaindale SEN School, Mansfield.
The latest fundraising event organised by the firm saw a team of Hall-Fast managing director Malk Hall, John Starkie, Katie Atherton, Julie Leonardo, Shaun Taylor, Matthew Back, Simon Beatham, Caroline and Steve Smith, Craig Edwards and Jonathan Crowder, set off from Morecambe on Friday, 25th April and cycle 170 miles across The Way of the Roses route, arriving in Bridlington on Sunday, 27th April.
Mr Hall said: “It was a very tough event, but we all had a lot of fun and more importantly over £2,500 has been raised so far from this Coast to Coast Challenge and with money still coming in we hope to exceed £4,000.”
More than £27,000.00 has already been raised for the school, which caters for children aged from 3-19 with severe physical and sensory needs, and with the Hall-Fast Charity Ball taking place on 9th May expected to raise £20,000, Mr Hall is confident the target will be smashed, with closer to £50,000.00 being raised.
