Café opens in park

A new café has opened in the pavilion at Titchfield Park in Mansfield.

The Titchfield Teahouse, which has taken over the Mansfield District Council premises, is open seven days a week.

Serving afternoon teas, sandwiches, ice creams and homemade cakes, The Titchfield Teahouse is being run by the same company that runs The Teahouse in Carr Bank Park in the town.

The Titchfield Teahouse is also available for private hire.

Manager Luke Thomas, pictured with the Mayor of Mansfield, Kate Allsop and Coun Andrew Tristram, portfolio holder for the environment at the council, said: “It’s ideal for children’s parties, baby christenings or baby showers.”

Coun Tristram said: “It’s fantastic that the park pavilion is back in use. The café provides a welcome additional attraction to our award-winning park.

“It’s perfect for all visitors to the park including families using the play area as well as those who live and work in the surrounding area.”
