Four shoppers enjoyed a VIP shopping experience and make-over after winning a competition to mark the arrival of new fashion brands at the Mansfield Tesco Extra store on Jubilee Way South.

Work to improve the shopper experience at the store included the addition of high street clothing brands Burton, Evans, Dorothy Perkins, Claire’s Accessories, Miss Selfridge and Wallis following a partnership between Tesco and the Arcadia Group.

To celebrate the store asked customers to nominate someone to receive a VIP experience.

The winners received a personal shopping experience with £100 to spend in the new departments, a professional make-over from stylist Jill Pollitt, make-up and brunch in the café.

The competition winners — Laura Burch, Deborah Burt, Zoe Hooley and Julie Creed (above), all from Mansfield — were also picked up in a limo.

Tesco Extra customer experience manager Ros Howells looked after everyone on the day.

Store manager Mark Taylor said: “All the winners had a great day and they all looked fantastic after their make-overs.”

Zoe said: “We had a fantastic day and Ros and everyone at Tesco was amazing.

“I went out on Saturday night so had my make-up done ready and treated myself to four beautiful tops, which will go great with my skinny jeans.”
