Mansfield Building Society is hosting its 147th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, 25th April at 4pm, at Mansfield Library.

The Society is an active contributor to local community groups through its Community Support Scheme. In 2016, £20,000 was awarded to charities, clubs and associations in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

At this year’s AGM, all charity groups that have benefited from its various community schemes are invited to hear about the Society’s future plans in this area.

At the event The Mansfield will be announcing the first recipient of the The Mansfield – Community Star Award, which recognises the contribution and dedication of one volunteer.

Nominations are being invited from within the various community schemes with which The Mansfield has been involved.

The Society will also be celebrating the official launch of The Mansfield Building Society Charitable Trust and announcing the first financial award from this fund at the AGM.

Staff at The Mansfield have recently chosen Macmillan, the cancer care charity, as its charity partner for the next two years.
