Purple ball tribute to brave Corah

Mansfield-based software company Dalmatian Systems is to host a ball to help raise funds and awareness for Mitochondrial Disease, an illness that killed Kirkby teenager Corah Slaney.

Dalmatian Systems has chosen the Children’s Mitochondrial Disease Network as its chosen charity for the year after marketing director Katie Trinder was asked to become a patron.

Katie said “I became aware of the disease when Corah was diagnosed.
Corah’s mum, Lisa, is a friend and it broke my heart to see the effect the disease had on her family.

“Lisa asked me to host a fundraising concert she organised last year #RaisetheRoof4Corah.

“Through that I was asked to become a patron for the network.

“As a company, we wanted to do something else to help raise funds and awareness and so decided to organise the Purple Ball, a chance for people to get dressed up and have fun while raising money for charity.”

The ball will take place at Portland College on 19th May.

Guests will begin their evening with a welcome cocktail — a Corah-Royal — have a four-course meal and be treated to entertainment from Ginny Brown and the Collective.

Other entertainment is also planned.

Tickets, priced £49.50, are available by calling the Dalmatian Systems Office on 01623 287880 or e-mailing [email protected]
