A charity FootGolf tournament helped ‘putt’ a fundraising drive for a new disability-friendly minibus for Portland College, Mansfield, nearer its target.
Coun Yvonne Woodhead, chairman of Nottinghamshire County Council, is raising funds towards a new modified minibus during her year in office.
Council employees and charity supporters took part in the tournament at the N1 Golf Riverside Golf Centre, Nottingham, raising £250 towards the Chairman’s Charity target of £5,000 for the year. The Golf Centre waived its charges.
Coun Woodhead said: “I’m extremely grateful to the Riverside Golf Centre for its generosity and to everyone who took part.”
