A charity supporting more than 200 people with learning disabilities, including many at its day centre at St John’s Centre, Mansfield, is running a Double Donation campaign from 1st–3rd December.
For every £10 donated to Reach Learning Disability in the first three days of December, the charity will receive £20.
This ‘double every donation’ opportunity is possible because Reach has secured promises that for every pound donated during this period it will be matched.
At present there is a promised-pot of £6,750 from supporters who believe the charity is a worthwhile cause and one that is of enormous value to the community.
If the campaign is successful it stands to raise £13,500.
To start the donation campaign, Reach Mansfield will be holding a charity auction on 30th November, from 7-10pm, at St John’s Centre to raise funds to be doubled.
Reach Newark will be holding a super heroes day and students and staff at the Brackenhurst campus in Southwell will be putting on five events, ranging from onesie days to a 5k on the Friday.
People can donate to the campaign by going to http://www.reachuk.org/fundraising/donation/ , calling 01636 819066, popping in to one of the day centres or texting RLDD22 £5 to 70070.
