Julian Clef and Victoria Gray in concert

Pianist Julian Clef and mezzo-soprano Victoria Gray are taking part in a concert at The Crescent Centre, Peel Crescent, Mansfield, on Sunday, 27th November, at 3pm.

Tickets, priced £10 (students £5), are available from Sheila Haslam, tel 01623 627764 or email [email protected]

Julian Clef is returning after two months in India, playing with an international orchestra under the baton of the famous conductor, George Mathew, including in Delhi, Mombai, Bangalor and Goa.

This year his prodigious talent has taken him to most of the major capital cities in Europe and in New York playing recitals. He has also performed with leading orchestras in several of London’s top concert halls.

Victoria Gray was a member and soloist with Mansfield girls’ choir Cantamus.

While studying for her Masters degree at the Royal College of Music, she was signed up by Warner Music as the mezzo with TV and recording group, Amore.

Victoria toured with Katherine Jenkins, Russell Watson and Alfie Boe among other stars. Victoria has taken leading parts in opera companies and recently sang a principal role in the English National Opera’s spectacular production of Philip Glass’s Akhnaten at the London Coliseum, which was a sell-out.
