Full-service digital agency Purpose Media has continued its investment in the future generation of business leaders by appointing three new apprentices.

Ollie Henderson, 18, from Mansfield, and Seb Wilson, 18, from Selston, join the firm as client support apprentices. As well as gaining a thorough understanding of website development throughout their apprenticeships, Seb and Ollie will also be the first point of call for customers.

Meanwhile, 18-year-old Olly Torrance, from Derby, joins as a digital marketing apprentice and will support the firm’s digital marketing consultants as they work with clients to drive website traffic and increase conversions and sales.

Purpose Media, a Google Premier Partner, specialises in e-commerce web design, video production, digital marketing, public relations and creative design.

It has doubled its employee headcount and turnover in the past 12 months and now employs 35 people.

Purpose Media’s managing director, Matt Wheatcroft, said: “We’re firmly committed to investing in talent and our apprenticeship scheme regularly gives young starters a chance to build an exciting career in web design and marketing.

“Of our 35 members of staff, nine joined the team through the scheme, with several former apprentices becoming integral members of staff.

“Our head of business development, Jamie, started his career here five years ago as an apprentice and has worked his way up the business, as has our support desk manager, Karol.

“Mitch, a former digital marketing apprentice, has been with us for two years and is now a digital marketing consultant looking after 15 clients, and he will mentor Olly as he does his own apprenticeship.

“And in Jack, Josh and Lewis, we have developed three young, well-rounded web developers who have proved to be a real asset to the business.

“We commit a lot of time and effort into developing our new apprentices and look forward to seeing Seb, Ollie and Olly grow.”
